I saw this over on SprintUsers.com Basically, you can get 6 PM nights for free, the 500 SMS plan for free, and perhaps First Incoming Minute free. If you're and older customer (say over a year) try to get a 10% discount. I wouldn't extend my contract for that though. I tried for the 6pm option, and after 2 emails, I got it for free! I'm going to try to get the 500 texts next, as I'm paying $5 for 100 now, which sucks. I love Sprint! Hello, I am a recent new customer within my trial period. My friend, a Sprint employee, has informed me that several new SERO customers from the store have received the Unlimited Nights and Weekends starting at 6 P.M. for free. I was wondering if I could receive this offer as well? It seems unfair for some new customers to receive this great option for free. I value fairness highly. I hope you can make this happen for me, as I would like to stay with Sprint and keep referring this service to my friends and family. Thank you for your time. Dear Joel, Thank you for contacting Sprint together with Nextel. I understand your concern and am glad to assist you with the Night & Weekend Minutes on the account. I am happy to inform you that I have added the Night & Weekend Minutes starting at 6PM free to the account, from my side. This change is effective April 15, 2006. Thank you again for emailing us, it was a pleasure serving you. Please feel free to write back if you have any further questions. I will be more than happy to assist you. Airb, How do you get free n&w minutes starting at 6 pm? Should I send the same e-mail when I sign up in another week or so?
It's all about luck and getting the right rep who's willing to do it. But make sure you follow up and see if they really did give it to you or not. Some people I know have been told they were given a particular freebie only to find out later that it didn't go through.
Yup, I got the FIMF and free 6pm nights. 500 texts are no real use to me since I use close to 3000 every month. I'd still need to pay for unlimited, so I didn't bother to try for that one. Now if only I could get free Vision...because I will not pay $20/mo once my free month of EVDO is up.
I thought the basic Power Vision plan was $15 (just data)? I still have a regular Vision plan, as I don't have EV-DO yet in my area. When I got my 6700 the rep was really trying to push the PV plan on me, but I told her "no way".
Basic is $15, but if I am going to be paying for it, I might as well be able to send pictures. Sprint needs a regular picture messaging plan like EVERY other carrier. This bundled with vision crap is stupid!
OK, I get you. I agree Sprint need to have their extras a la carte style. I would like to see Sprint bundle text messaging with Vision again. My sister's line was messed up because the rep at the store didn't understand the Vision plans. We were charged for every text sent and recieved. It was easy to get the charges dropped though.
Get Dwayne as a rep!! He added picture mail for free (It should be free, but it wouldn't show up right for me) AND I GOT 500 FREE TEXTS from him too. This was the same rep that gave me the 6pm nights for free! 500 Minutes, 500 texts, 6pm nights. 30$ a month!! YAY!
Cool, Airb. sounds like you got a great deal, I cant wait until Sprint comes here, I might try them out. I was gonna go for cingular but I hear that since they're still new here they have a few coverage holes. I got an email from a sprint rep saying that they will be expanding coverage here. It'll probably be a long while though
Read this post yesterday, so I emailed Sprint and asked for the earlier nights. Got it at no cost! Also, recently changed phones on my plan and got hit for $36 equipment upgrade fee (bought the phone myself, not from Sprint). I asked for a credit for this charge and got it too. So I have to give Sprint high marks. In response to DarrylLee's post on Cingular, I recently tested thier coverage on my daughter's phone (cell-one, but roams on Cingular) and had great coverage down US27 from KY stateline to Harriman. Almost full signal all the way. Thats beats any CDMA signal through there.
Airb, When I send the e-mails, should I send it to the regular sprint e-mail or the SERO e-mail address? Thanks for your help.
Regular ecare. I logged into my account and hit a button in the uper right corner, that said 'contact us'. I chose pricing as the subject.
Ok. Thanks yet again for all of your help. It looks like I will be ordering the phone and SERO as soon as I get up tomorrow morning. :highclap:
