So, I get around 8 hours of 'Usage Time' on my 5 or 5S iPhones. A bit worse in the country here then in the city, but its fine. (Charlyee gets amazing usage time...but not me). Anyhow, those 8 hours went fast...meaning that towards the late afternoon, my percentage battery left was lower than I had remembered. 60% or so. Going through my settings, removing notification from Apps that I hardly use, etc, all that didn't really change anything. So I'm guessing it is what it is. Then a light bulb went off in my head. A client that I use to work for....I had their email account on my phone, but turned off active mail, but keep the contacts since I needed that info occasionally. Then it occurred to me, that those contacts aren't static...but maybe constantly trying to sync with their server, which I no longer have access too. :cool shade So I switched off the contacts. Whoa! i still get 8 hours of 'usage time', but now by afternoon, I'm still at 90% battery or so. So the Usage time is the same...just it is lasting me longer throughout the day, since my iPhone is not spinning wheels trying to connect, even in manual mode. what a difference! P.S. it is now 10 pm, and I'm at 70%.
Any phone that will give you 8 hours of usage is a good one. Lately I've been watching Netflix on my 5S everyday so I end up charging it every night. Sent from my iPad Air
