I like coffee, but I only need a travel cup at a time, about 16 ounces. Has anyone tried the K-Cup coffee? Would you recommended it? How about any other coffee makers that can only make one cup at a time? I currently use the Melitta manual drip maker and I like it, but the K-Cup intrigues me. The downside with it is that it only makes 10 ounces at a time. Would anybody around here recommend it?
I have a Keurig machine, and mine has buttons for "large" and "small" cups of coffee. If I wanted a 16 oz cup I'd just press the "small" button twice. You can also buy a reusable Kcup that you can put your own coffee in. That may be an option for you if you find that running the coffee twice is too weak for you. I haven't had any problems though.
I've had a Keurig machine for just over a year now, and when it works, it is great! There are a ton of coffee's to pick from. Older models of the machines had a manufacturing glitch, and almost all broke at some point, but I think the new ones are ok.
The biggest thing I have read about, is that if you use the optional water filter installed on the machine it leads to premature pump failure. I just fill my machine with filtered water from a water pitcher.
Love our Keurig. We have had it since last summer. We have the one that does iced as well as 3 or 4 other sizes. I like the flavored the best.
Is it to week for you Jay? I usually like coffee strong but don't mind normal strength for the convince.
Never heard of K-Cup/Keurig, but Nespresso is pretty big here in Europe. The main Nespresso factory is not far from me, and I love to drive past that place just for the smell Having said that, I'm not a fan of "capsule" coffee and like strieght-up old-school coffee. Italians somehow know how make the best coffee
Its not too weak for me, but if you really liked extra strong coffee you may not want to run it twice.
