LOTR ROTK Rules! Edit: I just realized how juvenille that reply was, so I'm going to elaborate. Both of the first LOTR films were excellent. I've enjoyed many of Peter Jackson's other films because I like zombies but I think (and I'm not alone here) that these three films are some of the finest films ever made. The sheer scope and vision of these films is amazing, the beautiful filmmaking is stunning and the seamless blending of different special effects made the films possible and was so amazing that most of the time you don't even think about the fact that these places, battles, creatures do not exist in real life. Jackson (and many others) have succeeded in making films so amazing that they make even the excitement I had as a small child watching the Star Wars trilogy pale in comparison. ROTK was the finest of these three and for that I must say, bravo! These films are what filmmaking is about and I wish it wasn't just people like us who realized it but the heads of major motion picture studios as well. Maybe then we would never have to sit through another preview for a Rob Schnieder movie. What a happy day that would be [___.]
LOTR: Return of the King was great. I saw it in Germany and it was incredible. I loved the part where the ghost army wiped the enemy troops within a few seconds. The ending scene where Sam receives the diary from Frodo left me wondering whether there will be a 4th part to the plot with the focus shifting from Frodo to Sam.
