    I seen this ad:

Free Motorola Cell Phone (supplies limited). Plans start
from $19.95/month with 250 minutes each month. No contracts
and no credit checks. Call (some 800 number) and use referral
number (a referral number)] to take advantage of this offer today.

I called the number and it is a service provider called Govios.

    My question:

Does anyone know the quality of their service? I am interested in the price, but
I have yet to find anything (...and yep, I searched). So does anyone have this service yet?

PS. I apologize for quoting the ad. However, I am hoping to get a quick results
by someone using the words verbatim in a search term.

If you google that 800 number you had in the original post, it came up with allot of different sites (an obvious spammer.) So I deleted the number from you post, and my recomendation would be avoid purchasing from that company, if they are not real clear in their marketing practices, I wouldn't give them my personal information.

Sounds like an ad from some sort of MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator). And as Wirelessbeachbum recommended, don't give them your info- at least not until you are positive they are a legit company. Even then, I recommend trying to find a similar service through one of the major carriers.

Thanks kranium007. However I cannot afford any of the major carriers. That is what sent me on this search to begin with. I will be a little more leery to some of these promotions. However, I don't want to pass up a great offer just from suspicion. All the same, I am thankful for the advice.
