I was reading about the Reqwireless Browser on another forum and it seems that if you download this browser, you will be able to view full HTML pages through your phone(maybe everyone knows about this already) just like your PC. Is this true?? If anyone has used this or knows more about it, can you please tell me the pros and cons of doing this. I'm assuming that it uses a lot of memory otherwise I would think that more people would be using it. Sounds pretty cool to me. I think it's $10 but to me, that would be worth it if it does what they say. Any info......

What would a full web page look like on a tiny screen?

Thank you Vette for the link. [IMG]
I would suggest that anyone interested in seeing how this works can download it to your phone and try it out for yourself; the site also states:

"Don't have a mobile Java device yet? Try out WebViewer in a Microsoft Windows cell phone emulator -- get everything you need in this download."

Wow. I love this browser. I am now able to go to Ebay. It is great. You can surf just about anywhere and check your hotmail/msn email. I went to a few websites that I couldn't with the old browser on my phone and could get to them quickly with this one. I'm not finished playing with it yet, but so far I am impressed and will only use this browser from now on. I will definitely purchase it when the trial period is over. [IMG]

I get an error message "Java script required" when I try to check my Hotmail from the mobile.msn.com website?!?!?!?! Is there something wrong with my phone? I have the Sanyo 4900.

    No... your fine jojobah,

Apparently the error messages are a bit random. One thing you need to make sure of is to "uncheck" the setting "Identify as MSIE" in the WebViewer app. Also make sure cookies are enabled. Unfortunately... even with those things done... you may not be able to access Hotmail or Yahoo.... because a secure connection must be made with their server. Apparently.... the way this browser works is it interfaces with a set of proxys owned and operated by ReqWireless... which redirect requests and receive the information before you get it on your browser. When you make a request to view a page... first it goes to the ReqWireless Proxy server... then the server retreives the info.. for you... and it "reformats" it... to fit on the display of your handset.... Of course.... because we are dealing with proxys it seems that there are problems accessing certain sites... I suspect because they are not clearing their caches frequently enough and alot of redundant data gets stuck in there confusing the sign in process....

The reason I suspect this is because I was able to login to Hotmail and Yahoo and start secure connections with their servers several times successively in one day... but then the next day all i would get are either messages about cookies needing to be enabled.... java or "Unexpected Server Response" messages. I am a bit frustrated by this and would hope they could resolve these issues as I got this program primarily to check my hotmail.

Oh well... Keep trying is all I can say.

    Peace,
    A.F.
