It's available now for preorder on the Alltel website. Colors choices are slate, citrus and turquoise. I tried to place a mock preorder to see if I could find a ship date, but I couldn't find one.

Full retail price $219, discounted sale price $59 after discount and $40 mail in rebate.

Really? 60 bucks is pretty good. Only 10 more than Sprint's version and 20 less than Verizon's EnV. I think the Scoop is priced perfectly. It's miles ahead of the Strobe.

It's $100 with a $40 rebate. I expected it to be around $60 with no rebate. Oh well I will still be buying it.

well, pretty much all phones you buy need a mail in rebate these days regardless of carrier. I still don't think it is a bad price and I am cheap.

EVDO is for internet right. Why would I want to go on the internet on my phone? I would never.

The only reason a flip needs EVDO is tethering.
