Anyone hear of any new plans being offered for the holiday buying season? Specifically, I'd like to see a two line family plan for 59.00 in or around 500 anytime mins. My current plan is better then what Cingular offers now, am on a 850 anytime two lines, 69.00. It's a good plan but I don't need that many mins anymore.
Alfred Neuman over on Hofo posted this in a thread titled holiday plans official: for single lines (both new and existing customers): $49.99 1500 minutes. unlimited mobile to mobile. no nights or weekends. no rollover. YOU CANNOT ADD Nights and weekends. Family plans: 59.99(both new and existing customers): 550 anytime, m2m,n&w,rollover 49.99 (existing customers ONLY. aka anyone signe dup before 11/24/05): 450 anytime,m2m,5k n&w.
The 59.99 plan is nice. 50 more anytime minutes. CWick, we used to be on your plan and didn't use all the minutes either. Now were on the 500 plan, but routinely use about 50-200 rollover a month, considering we have 3400 rollover minutes, that's fine by me to save some money.
Sounds like somebody's trying to compete with T-Mobile... So my $9.99 add-a-line is going up $0.01! Those Bastards!
Thanks, if that 59.99 is for two lines that could be just what the doctor ordered :browani: Of course, remains to be seen if these rates are true. If they are, I would think they would be advertised soon. I have another issue....I have a soon to be 13 year old daughter who wants a cell phone I wonder if if that 550 plan would be 9.99 to add a line or 19.99.
Your welcome. Your daughter is lucky. I remember when I was 13 years old, my family was getting our very first cell phone with Cellular One (before AT&T TDMA bought them out). It had like 100 or 200 anytime minutes and long distance only in the state of Florida. Also, a lot of people in my middle school had pagers.
When I was 13 we got Touch-tone phones! (and a private line with call waiting - up until then we were on a party line)
good times We never did get touch tone, even with push botton phones. You would push the button and hear all the clicks being sent....good times indeed.
I think they are available as of this past Friday (Black Friday). At least I see the $49.99/month plan online.
Did they eliminate the option to extend your night & weekend hours? I went online today to add it to my friend's plan and I couldn't find it.
Your welcome Jay. I am not sure. I too didn't see it online. Maybe they are in the process of changing some things around online.
I saw this plan on www.pickwireless.com too. It says this is the only plan offered by cingular without minutes rollover. Is that true? Family plans:
