My e815 is damaged and the NE2 comes up July 1. Do I go with a V3m and forget the new phone.

The RAZR2 isn't supposed to hit the streets until the third quarter, so I'd say late summer at the earliest.

I would hold off on the V3m, until you see the new RAZR2 V9m at the end of the summer as Jay mentioned above. This new flag ship MOTO will feature both internal and external touchscreens, BREW UI with Adobe flash support. You can see Verizon's new flash UI in the picture in this link. http://www.uberphones.com/2007/05/motorola/motorola_v9m_sneak_peek/ (it has the green signal indicator and is also displays black bars in place of Verizon's old red ones.)

This site lists a few more facts about the new 9Vm that you can check out. http://www.slashphone.com/83/7233.html

The above site indicates that the V9m is expected to become available in July of 2007. This is the phone that I'm looking into getting also to replace my E815.

Thanks again Mobileprincess for the info. I read the other post and went immediately to checking out this phone on Google. I found the above site and posted it on the other post about this phone and then i see you have it posted here too. ;) Great minds think alike.

I too am looking forward to this phone.

I certainly do hope that Verizon offers it in other colors like on the site below. On this site they show a GSM verson of the phone, but the color is so amazing i hope Verizon gets a great color too.

I agree with you on them getting different colors to choose from... I would like to see this one in blue like that of the Cingular KRZR. :)

looks like a great phone but they really didnt deviate to much from the initial razr starburst shine and aluminum............and this phone will no doubt be extremely expensive because of the Adobe Flash.........new UI for Verizon users (pretty exciting)...........and the touchscreen

I don't think it will be any more expressive than some of Verizon's LG handsets with the same new Flash UI. My guess would be, $150.00 on a two year, and $199.00 on a one year agreement.

There is a lot of just plain wrong information out there about this phone. It is Motorola's fault for having 3 variants of the phone with different specs.

No version of the phone has an internal touch screen, and the outside screen only has touch sensors in the lower half. The internal and external screens are different for CDMA vs. GSM/HSPDA.

Only the V8 runs the new Linux Java interface. The other two have the old style UI, although it is much improved from phones using the same UI today. The CDMA variant does not have the fast new processor.

CDMA also has lesser bluetooth and USB specs, can't sync over the air, no full HTML browser, and lacks CrystalTalk compared with the other two. It also displays fewer colors. The only area the CDMA is better is that it has higher video resolution and expandable memory.

The RAZR2 launches this month in some locations, the US not being one of them.

no crystal talk on CDMA because their quality is acceptable so no need to make it more expensive by adding that (that comes from motorola)

I have heard the first of September. Now I have to add Verizon is going to put that crap UI on the phone. Now if I didnt have Sprint there is no way I would be getting this phone and spending the money I am for it.

I don't place much faith in that Cnet review. I think they should have waited until the phone was released before doing a review of it, as they have done in the past......I think it's going to be interesting to see what the people who actually own the new Motorola V9m have to say about it once it has been released.
