Quick question about the LG VX6000. How many pictures can the phone hold in it's memory? I'm planning on getting the phone soon, and I'm sure I'll be playing with the picture ID function. If I use low resolution, Im assuming I can keep a ton of them on the phone, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thanks,

    Danny

I'm not sure how many if you lower the res, but if I remember right I could fit 20 on mine on high res/quality..

in the phone's 'gallery' you can only have 20 pix no matter what...

BUTTTT.... you can send the pixs to yourself and save them in the 'Graphics' folder and then remove them from teh 'gallery' which will get you more space depending on the quality of the shots.....

I'm not sure how much space is available for graphics in MB, but as Stupiud said, the resoultion and quality of the pictures that are stored effect how many it will hold...

    Thanks for the quick replies.

If I was to want, say, 30 photos, all low resolution, and do the process explained above to take them out of the camera folder that is limitd to 20, can I pull that off? In other words, 30 or so pics for Caller ID, plus the 20 in the camera pics folder.

Just register with My Account on Verizon's website, log in, go to "acct. matinence", then activate phone..

All you have to do from there is select which line you want to activate a phone on, then (usually by removing the battery) type in the ESN of the phone that you want to activate..It takes less than 5 minutes for the new phone to start working..

Wow...pretty cool...I'm registered with "My Account", but I didn't know you could do that! Maybe once I get the LG, if I'm feeling "retro", I'll play with my V60 or even my old V120c! hehe

Keep me posted on your test run.

Any final totals? I found a 3rd party store where I can get the 6k for $29, post-rebate.

Be careful of the 3rd party stores...sometimes they sell refurb's and market them as new handsets.

They have guaranteed it new....it's 99, with a 70 dollar rebate. It is a 3rd party store local to Milwaukee (I think) called Cell-U-All.
