Can anyone recommend a good analog capable phone (as well as digital) from Verizon? I have looked and looked and most of the phones listed on the site are Digital only. On some of my trips, I go to places that only have analog signals and it seems that phones that are capable of an analog signal are few and far between these days.
For a TriMode, the Moto V325 gets great reviews... I bought 1 for my mom and she's been pleased; I used the LG VX3300 for 11 months before upgrading and it worked fine for me. On the site, most of the LG's are trimode (only the VX8300 and Chocolate are all digital); additionally, the Samsung A870 and the Moto v325 are trimode. Hope this helps
The Nokia 6256i Camera Flip Has Full Bluetooth capabilities & trimode. It's only avail thru VZW "dealers & Indirects" not from Verizon itself ...
The LG VX5200: My cousins and aunt all have this phone........its dual band/trimode so you'll get AMPS backup Samsung SCH-a870: I'm not a fan of Samsungs on GSM networks but I don't have experience with them on CDMA so your on your own reception-wise......this phone is bluetooth-capable.....camera phone............ LGVX3300: Dual Band/trimode........its another LG but it has no external LCD display which is a bummer........nothing really is all that special on this phone except the outside cover.......cool blue Nokia 6236i: not easy on the eyes but dual band/trimode all the same......try something else though LG VX5300: Dual band/trimode and good-looking too.......camera with flash.....also bluetooth-capable LG VX4650: not much to say about this phone......not good-looking either Motorola V325: shiny phone .......camera and its motorola quality....VZ Navigator too nice selection of big coverage with style and features
The Nokia 6236i does not have analog capability; VZW lists this an all digital phone. Also the Nokia site lists this phone as 850/1900 CDMA and no analog.
A colleague who has had Verizon service for a lot longer than I have, was told when she upgraded her phone a year ago, that Verizon was no longer offering phones that had analog capability. My Nokia 3589i has analog capability, as does the Nokia 2126 from TracFone . But the Nokia 2128i from Verizon does not.
My wife got an LG VX5300 a couple of weeks ago. It is Tri-Mode and she really likes it so far. It seems to have pretty impressive battery life as well.
I agree. Even though this handset is not offered by Verizon any longer, it is an excellent phone with excellent reception. The v710 is the way to go... if you can find it.
