Bought an LG Cosmos for my wife. Seems to be a pretty nice phone but not much chatter about it. Main thing I am mystified by is editing the contacts on my computer. Vague comments in Features mention transferring contacts by Bluetooth to the computer and I have made Bluetooth contact but I can't find any software to edit contacts and transfer them back to the Cosmos. Is there something that will do that? Seems more than silly to have a phone capable of 1000 contacts but no computer interface.
The 1000 contacts capability is in all LG phones. Being able to connect it with a computer has nothing to do with the amount of contacts available on the phone. It's just LG's standard phone capacity. One way you can update contacts on the computer and then send them to the phone is through Verizon's Backup Assistant, which is now free to use. The only thing you have to have is an online profile with MyVerizon.com. How to Use Guide: Backup Assistant If you have a ton of contacts that you want to put on the phone without entering them in manually, Backup assistant is the way to go. It's much easier to do it through this program than on the phone. I have not come across any Contacts program that allows data to be sent via Bluetooth. I'm sure there's one out there, but I haven't needed it since I have Backup Assistant.
thanks. Although I have seen mention of Backup Assistant, its use has been unclear to me. I'll check it out.
This phone is simply a redesign of Sprint's Rumor and Alltel's ?? can't remember the name. My ex-wife had this phone and it was junk. Don't expect it to hold up through your 2 year contract.
The Alltel version of the Rumor is/was the LG Scoop... My best friend has the Cosmos and she seems to enjoy it. She is just disappointed that the phone doesnt have video capabilites... and she is having problems pairing her Samsung Bluetooth headset to it... Other than that, it is a vast improvement to the Motorola Rival that she used for 2 weeks.
