I just downloaded it myself. It does work good. I already put a bunch of music on a Razr, and a Samsung U520.
Big thumbs down from me as it does not support the e815...that makes no sense at all...why not support one of your best selling phones? even if it is discontinued...
Dunno... the e815 is a pretty popular phone. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense not to have the e815 support Jump. The e815 is still available on Alltel's webstie and some sales offices, though not from Customer Service anymore. It seems, based on the press release, that other phones may be compatible in the future, though since the e815 is all but discontinued, as you say, I wonder if it will be one of those phones.
I wasn't aware that the E815 would be discontinued (DAMN, I nearly bought that phone!). But. From a $$$, I do notice that, aside from the Wafer, the compatible phones are higher in price than the Moto e815. Maybe that's a way to entice you get the "higher end" phones.
It is still the best phone for reception and has all the features you want. The only thing it doesn't have is external MP3 controls. Other then that it is still the best phone they sell.
Huh? The E815 most certainly IS available from Customer Service. I'm looking at it's CDF availability (that's how we order phones through CS - Customer Direct Fullfillment) and it is still showing as in stock AND available.
Fair enough. Customer Service confirmed that this morning. They also told me that the e815 has been out for about a year and its rebate was set to expire at the end of the month so it is probably close to "end of life," though it is not officially in that status yet. I still don't think the e815 will ever be Jump Music capable, though.
