I got 4 V3a RAZRs from Alltel as Christmas presents for my family. I have some custom wallpapers & ringtones that I wanted to add to each phone before I wrap them. I bought Motorola Phone Tools & a cable. I installed the drivers & software & everything seems to work. I can see my Phone Book on the phone & update & save it. But I don't see any MultiMedia stuff.

I've been read the forums here & I understand there is some file in the phone that needs changing. SEEM edits I think. I've seen explainations for Verizon, but not for the Alltel V3a. I'm pretty good at programming, but don't know where to stat.

Can someone give me a hand?

click the center button of the Razr image in MPT... it will open a menu which has all your choices...multimedia included

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

Had a similar problem but fixed it quick.
    For the Razr V3A black/gray
I eventually called Motorola because non of those hacks/seems/drivers/pk2 stuff worked for me.

Simply put they didn't give out the Newest version of the Mobile Phone Tools CD when they gave out the phones! For the Razr V3A to work it must have MPT version 4.5.6 (which is not even available thur thier website unless you want to purchase it). I would advise any new buyers to contact Motorola who will send you a direct link to download the new version.

    File titled: 4.5.6aeng

    After you download it
It still will not find the phone automatically.
    Do the Manual install
    Use/choose: Motorola USB Modem
    Device: Motorola CDMA
    Model: L7cm

    Should work like a dream!!!
Hope this helps. It only took me 17 downloads and 2 weeks worth of hunting to get it right!!
