Does anyone know how Alltel Prepaid Wireless works? According to their website, their plans start at $29.99 w/o a contract and include 200 anytime, 1000 n&w. Do the anytime and night and weekend minutes still cost you $0.25/minute, or is that rate after you use up your anytime and n&w? How does this plan compare to Simple Freedom (since the minutes are $.25/minute with Simple Freedom)? It looks like Simple Freedom's coverage is bigger, but you don't get any night and weekend minutes to use. Here are the maps: Simple Freedom: Alltel Prepaid: Does anyone know the pros and cons besides anytime and n&w minutes that Alltel Prepaid offers vs. Simple Freedom? Thanks in advance.
The biggest disadvantage of ALLTEL's prepaid service is that it only works while on their network. It will not work off the ALLTEL network. If you stay on the ALLTEL network then it will be fine for you but if you ever want the ability to roam Simple Freedom is a much better choice for prepaid.
Personally I'd choose Simple Freedom. The cards are easier to find then 7 Eleven's and you will get a extensive digital network with analog backup.
I didn't think about that. Have you personally used Simple Freedom before? We would only need it for places that our Sprint phone roams in. Thanks.
