For those of you who have or are thinking about getting alltel service big things are coming soon tentative national launch is Saturday april 22. Alltel continues there push to be customer friendly by giving customers what they are asking for. Alltel as a company is coming "Full Circle" and helping people connect with those they talk with the most..... a hint maybe. i find out more this week will keep everyone posted.
I would say they are a step ahead of the big boys. Here is the story (credit to Wireless King on another board): Starting April 23rd, 2006, Alltel will be launching a new promo called My Circle. On Rate plans $59.99 or higher, customers can add 10 non alltel numbers to their account to use as mobile to mobile (FREE CALLS) for free! There is no extra charge for this feature. The only thing is the customer must be on a qualified rate plan of $59.99 or higher. If the customer adds a line for $9.99/mo, both the primary and secondary line will be able to receive and call these 10 numbers for FREE! These numbers can be: * Wireless numbers * Landline numbers * Numbers from anywhere in the U.S. (not just your MDN geographical area anymore) Customers will be directed to www.alltel.com to set up these ten numbers. These numbers can not be added, edited, or deleted at the store or through CS. Only through "My Circle" on www.alltel.com.
you must be an alltel employee or know someone who is bc that info has not been confirmed by corporate or released yet but that is the tentative promo as i know it now but it has already changed once
MOTOhooligan also works for Alltel if I recall correctly. He might have some info as well. http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/members/motohooligan.html
Yeah, I found that amusing, myself. I think the best part is the Carrier Break Up Letter. Does anyone else think that the Alltel sales rep looks like 'O face' Drew from Office Space?
I was wondering, I'm thinking that alltel might make me happy. Lets suppose I decide to switch. Right now I live in native alltel coverage, but I MIGHT leave to Providence, RI for college. Will they terminate me? What would happen?
Dunno. They could terminate you after using a non-Alltel network for a certain period of time but I don't think that happens very often. WWC only did it once to about 50 people in the 3 1/2 years I worked for them... I have no idea what Alltel's practical policy is.
That's great they've got look-a-likes of T-Mobile's spokeswoman, VZW's, Sprint's and Cingulars symbol......
Who is the person representing Alltel? I sent the link to the breakup letter to my mother. She has Cingular
Keep in mind that the whole My Circle thing requires access to MyAccount, which requires you to be in service for two months (I believe). Just a little FYI, it is a great service though!
Hmmm, I was able to access it right after signing up, that was a year ago though, might be different now. I'm sure they are able to work around that, especially if they are trying to gain new customers with this....
That commercial is too funny, the Alltel guy brings all the look alikes together and say, we can all be friends now, they they have a group hug, but I like the part where they Verizon look alike says, can I call her for free? Talking about Catherine Zeta-Jones look alike, they they show her giving that look like, yeah right..
Yeah haven't seen any new ones for them. Only the same old one with the girl talking about a guy putting her number into his phone and he was moving too fast for her or something....
You must've had Alltel for a while now, it used to be (about 2 1/2 years or more ago) that you had to wait for your second bill to come, and it had a pin on the side that you had to type in to get access to the online billing (now labeled "my account"). But a couple years ago CS reps access to create user accounts on a customer's behalf was removed and the customer was able to create an account within a couple of days of activation.. and most recently (within about the past year or so..) my account access is available at the time of activation. Anyway... the point is you're showing how long you've been with Alltel... :loony:
