Alltel Wireless First U.S. Carrier To Offer AskMeNow Across All Handsets
Thursday March 1, 9:15 am ET
Customers Can Now Ask Questions from Their Phones and Receive Answers in a Flash

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. & IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Want to know when the Euro was introduced? Curious about which country has the cheapest gas on Earth? Stumped on the ingredients for six-layer dip? Now the answers are as close as your wireless phone. Alltel Wireless (NYSE: AT - News), America's largest network, today announced an agreement with AskMeNow, Inc. (OTCBB: AKMN - News), a leader in intelligent mobile search. The partnership will provide Alltel Wireless customers, including those with smart phones, immediate access to the AskMeNow service, which provides the ability to send questions to AskMeNow and receive relevant answers quickly via their phone.

"Alltel recognizes the importance for our customers who are on the go to get information quicker and easier," said Wade McGill, senior vice president of wireless products for Alltel Wireless. "Alltel is committed to providing its customers with the most useful and innovative applications available so they have the best wireless experience possible."

AskMeNow can be downloaded on smart phones running BlackBerry, Palm and Windows Mobile 5.0 operating systems. This application is available for a flat rate price of $3.99 per month. AskMeNow's SMS service is available to Alltel Wireless customers without smart phone capabilities. Those customers simply text ASKME (27563) to start their service, which costs $0.25 USD per question or a flat rate of $1.99 per month.

"We are pleased to partner with Alltel Wireless, a leading U.S. wireless carrier, and recognized innovator in the wireless industry," states Darryl Cohen, AskMeNow Chief Executive Officer. "Alltel's decision to support AskMeNow validates how integral the service is for customers who want instant answers and personalized content - no matter where they are."

Beginning today, Alltel Wireless smart phone customers may take advantage of a 30-day free promotion period and download the AskMeNow application by going to www.alltel.com/smartphone from their device and selecting Download the AskMeNow Answer Service. Customers may also receive the promotion by texting any question to ASKME (27563).

Alltel Wireless offers exclusive features including Celltop, Alltel's patent-pending technology that offers customers an easier way to access, manage and organize a wide range of information already available on their phones; "My Circle," allowing customers to choose who they call for free - any 10 numbers, any network; and Anytime Plan Changes, giving customers the flexibility to change their rate plan any time, without extending their contract.

And if you were wondering - The Euro was introduced to world financial markets as an accounting currency in 1999 and launched as physical coins and banknotes in 2002, Venezuela has the cheapest gas on Earth with a current average price of 14 cents per gallon, and the main ingredients in six-layer dip are refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, chopped tomatoes, grated cheddar cheese and black olives - answers provided by AskMeNow.
