Well for one thing, it bothers me that when you make a call it clicks like 5 times before it actually starts ringing. I had them, and it was bad, bad..
Vodafones investors don't want this even though Vodaphone might want it. They make more money with VZW then going independent. Verizon Communications could probably not keep up with the upgrades and acquistions if Vodafone leaves.
I called my aunt's phone and it did that as well. She is a Cingular user in central California. I'd rather hear the clicks than the fake rings that are used instead. Brad
The clicks are out of control on Alltel in the Carolinas in some spots. One nice thing about GSM, as DemoMan said, is there are no fake rings. I can call a Verizon phone and let it ring 7 times and the phone will ring 1-3 times. I know when I call GSM, when I hear the ring, I know the phone is ringing. I think T-Mobile should stay on their own. They provide enough coverage for most of their customers and they keep prices down.
Hear-hear! T-Mobile has really good prices, decent handsets and enough coverage that I'm satisfied. On another note, what are these "clicks" you speak of?
That is not a CDMA issue, but a network issue. When a network is overloaded GSM or CDMA that will happen. Andy had that problem all the time when he was with T-Mobile in Salt Lake and never with VZW (sometimes up to 10 rings with T-mobile to answer in SLC).
Yes it will. That is/was still happening with Cingular in my area. And sometimes it wouldn't connect.
