Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. - Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. Reports Second Quarter 2011 Results

    Comparing June 2010 & June 2011:
    3 month period ending: June 2010 / June 2011

    Beginning Subscribers: 827,370 / 674,080
    Prepaid: 242,385 / 169,673
    Postpaid: 584,985 / 504,407

    Ending Subscribers: 807,327 / 638,839
    Prepaid: 230,334 / 145,854
    Postpaid: 576,993 / 492,985

In other words, Alltel had over 800,000 subscribers at the end of June 2010,
but as of the end of June 2011, the number is down to under 640,000
which is about a 20% drop in just the last year.

With all the system "upgrades" they've been doing recently, lots more customers may get driven away.
The website has totally changed and lots of features were removed, the phone menu is different,
and lots more native Alltel employees are now gone, it's kinda losing alot of the old Alltel image
(other than Chad/My Circle). Let's see if they can turn this around.
I wish they could've stayed exactly the way they were, as that was working better for them.
They legally didn't have to change anything. Don't try to fix what isn't broken!
Funny how it took them over a year to make all these changes at once. It's all a mess.
I know they had to come off the Verizon billing system, but there's no need to try and "re-invent" Alltel.
