The code you need is called an spc code or master subsidy unlock code. Its 6 digits and the carrier is usually the only ones that have it but will not give it out because you can then use the phone to work with. It takes about 6 hours before you get an email reply with the code, depending on how busy we are. EMAIL US FOR MORE INFO. UNLOCKONLINE@HOTMAIL.COM

sometimes a cellular provider will lock a phone and sell it for a very low price (like 20.00) when the phones actual value is a lot more. DOing so will lock the owner of the phone into only being able to activate the phone on the company who locked it originally. If you unlock the phone you can buy a 20.00 phone for example and use it on a different provider who may not ovffer that phone, or have it for a ridiculously high price.

My question is however whats the point of unlocking a cdma phone? no one else uses it do they?

    Adam,

Sprint uses a CDMA format also. Good luck in getting them to activate it though.

Unlocking your phone won't make a difference. Unless you know how to flash a phone, it won't work on Alltel. Besides that, flashing a phone is VERY RISKY. Your best bet is to wait until the merger integration is complete.

    For reference, read this: http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/alltel-users/73907-no-alltel-phones-verizon-no-verizon.html
