Been getting some calls from an 800-xxx-xxxx number. its people trying to get me to vote for one of the presidents (hint: His middle name is Hussein). And the spammers know my name I ever gave this number out for anything except friends and people i know. Does verizon give out peoples phone numbers? Must also give out names too, since the guy new my name. Is this verizons fault by possibly leaking personal information? This has goto stop since its wasting my minutes, and wearing out my NiCD battery

This may be an issue for people on all wireless carriers. I'm going to move this to the GENERAL forum.

Political calls like this and calls from non-profit organizations are exempt from the do not call list.

I sometimes get them on my work phone but I've got a ported landline number. I don't get them on my personal wireless line that is a "wireless" NPA/NXX.

I doubt Verizon gave the number out, they probably got the number from local records or something.
