a530 and Picture ID

    I have read posts regarding picture id on the outer display, but can you have it on the main inside display as well? People have said that it is pretty much useless on the outside because the picture is so small so I'd rather just have it on the inside if possible. Thanks for the info.

    they have animated ringtones but they can not be assigned to people specifacly. that is a pet peeve about the phone. but no, no picture on the inside for caller id.

    Yeah, when I had the phone the only picture Id I could see was a ford logo for my brother. Even that I could barely see but I knew what it was immediatly. So word of advice, set it as something that you will know immediatly cause' if you do a picture it looks like a bug smeared on the screen.

    If you optimize the colors using a good drwing tool like photoshop (ImageReady) that external picture could be useful. Use adaptive or perseption pallete filtering.I've done it . You Do need to cut out to transparency along the perimeter, but the end product came out pretty good.

    It does take some work though.

    the external picture is too small to be useful. the phone displays a picture like half the size of the external display making it pretty much worthless
