I got a used T-Mobile MDA II. It's ok so far, I just need to do my homework on how to sync my contacts etc. But it's not a bad deal for a PPC device which used to cost 799 Euros and I got it used for 245 Euros. The GUI/UI is very sleek and easy to use with the stylus especially since I use Windows XP on a daily basis. No complaints about any other aspects of the phone such as RF or call quality.

How does your PPC do on GSM 850/1900, budney? Which PPC do you have?

I had the MDA I (T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition). I never had any trouble with mine (voice or data), but it was a little big to cary all the time. :)

Yeah I noticed this myself while carrying it in my pocket. I'm also slightly worried about getting the screen moist or slightly wet. I hope that the display won't be damaged by a couple raindrops for example. I keep it in the case all the time though.

I guess I can put off my 6230b purchase until the 6270 comes along

Why don't you get the 6230b, while waiting for the 6270? ;) The 6230B is certainly a fantastic phone.
