I'm really, really new to this. So sorry guys.

I have an LG Venus from Verizon. I have insurance as well and a two year family plan that ends in December of 09'.

So I got in, and within a few months I had a battery of problems with it. I couldn't charge it half the time, it was slow and very glitchy. So I took it in, and got a new one.

But now, three months later, I'm having the exact same problems again, plus my front screen is deciding it just wants to peel off.

I'm really sick of this. I want to go in a get a new phone (The LG Dare or Voyager). I'm willing to pay $100 bucks if I have to, to get it upgraded because I'm so sick of the problems.

Any help on how I can raise my chances of getting a new phone?
    Thanks guys,
    Allie

In December you will be eligible for an early upgrade on your account. You can take advantage of a discount then and put that towards a new phone and in the meantime but in a trouble ticket with customer service to get a replacement phone sent to you to see if that will cover the current issues you are having with your phone. They will likely replace the device with a refurbished model.

    Things to remember:

    a) Since you mentioned you are on a family plan, you will only be able to take advantage of the early upgrade option if you are on a plan that is over $70 monthly and you must be the PRIMARY line. $70 or greater monthly gets you the best discount level.

    b) If you aren't the primary line, you can swap with the primary account holder and get your line set up as the primary. You will have to be active as the primary line for 3 months + 1 year of active service to take advantage of the annual upgrade program, but it might be worth it in this case.

    Any other questions?

the glitch problem should be fixed as per software version 04. You can check in your settings on the phone for the software version. It was an especially big deal when you would try to text someone. As far as the screen peeling off....I have only ever seen this happen once on a voyager (lg vx10000).

You can't actually get into a new phone untill you have had an issue with the third phone in a 90 day period from the second phone. And if you do decide to get a different phone, it will extend your eligibility date another 20 months (not to be confused with your contract date...this is only the date in which you get a discount on a new phone)
