Just placed an order for two T-Mobile G1 phones and realized I'll need some accessories. So in course of investigating the subject I compiled a list of about 20 sites, which I am posting here for everyones benefit. Of course, but those are OEM at full prices. For instance, I purchased a car charger that list at t-mobile for $29.99 for $2.99 - not the same brand, but will charge the same nevertheless.
One word of caution, there are a number of known issues ranging from the phone not charging all the way up to catching fire, with non OEM chargers and batteries. Providers and Manufacturers have also been known to void warranty for use of non OEM chargers and/or batteries, even if the problem is not related to the use of these. I would recommend sticking to OEM parts for these items, for any device not just the G1. Just my 2 cents.
Caution is alway prudent. But those sites are not only for chargers, they include literally hundreds of other types of items...
Thanks, yes I am well aware of that. I was responding to your post where you were happy to have paid $2.99 for a non-OEM car charger, thereby saving yoursel $27.00. It was a caution and a recommendation to not use non-OEM batteries, chargers and other like accessories. Coincidentally here is a post that was made yesterday. http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/wireless-news/73273-man-killed-by-exploding-phone.html#post528616
I got a nice case for the G1 from BoxWave. I will post more on my G1 Review thread. BoxWave's price, ordering experience and shipping were fine. SW
