Hmm, this is what comes to mind for "28 days":
And this is what I would expect to see 28 days later
@dmapr: I recognized Sandra B., but not the movie. However, on a hunch I looked up 28 days and found the movie by that title. I did watch but forgot. The 2nd image I don't recognize the movie or actors at all. I looked up 0 day and found a movie but didn't seem to be the same cast.
Actually, for 0 day, I have a cute wrap-up gif.
The movies are "28 days" and "28 days later", of course
25 days left until official "unboxing" event!
The latest rumor I heard is the Note7 will be able to time travel and offer teleportation. Along with people muting and an interplanetary communicator. This is my kind of phone! ;-)
@M in LA: I heard the next generation of smartphones will make us almost as smart as cats.
That's a tall order...
@palandri: oui oui misure
60 more days until the new iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 plus!!!
Whoops, wrong thread...better start my own.
PS: why do Apple and Samsung even compete on the model number? Note 7, iPhone 7?
Just something iPhoney that iNoted.

@viewfly: I completely agree that the version number competition takes it to a new level of absurd. Even I have gotten irritated with Samsung's petty attempt to imitate while at the same time mock Apple.

I think it's coincidental. Samsung is increasing the model number every year, while Apple does it every other year (Samsung will have a chance to prove me wrong next year when iPhone 7s and 7s+ come out). My guess would be that they wanted to align their flagships (Note and the Galaxy S) to the same model number.
@dmapr: YOu are correct, but Samsung also claimed that they made that choice to align the "S" series numbering with the Note-series BECAUSE consumers thought the S7 would be more recent than the Note6. (The consumers that know Samsung wouldn't make that conclusion, but marketing is as marketing does.)

@palandri: Hey! Where did you get that picture of me?
"Android Subsystem has stopped working"
"Touchwiz has stopped working"
My Note 3 just might make it another
22 days! Well, actually, it needs to go 22 + 15 before actual availability.
Here's a little something to help you salivate until then:
@dmapr: (Addendum: After re-reading my post, I felt I sounded unappreciative. Actually, I am very appreciative that you took the time to share those links. Being retired, I have a lot of time to read, so that is why I wrote what I did below.)
The 2nd article about the new Universal Flash Storage I read about. For videographers it will be a god-send (once the hardware makers include the interface / adaptor for it).
Regarding the first article: I think the images shown are fakes. Here's why: The number of sensors at the top of screen are wrong. There has been a number of false "leaks" whose design is only to mislead the public. As I've mentioned in other forums, unless there is any truth to a "lite" version of the Note7, there are numerous contradictory claims of battery size, screen size, RAM (3, 4, 6), and other supposedly reputable claims that don't mesh up. I saw one claim today that the phone will only have 3GB RAM. Another claimed they say a "trustworthy" report that said there would be 6GB RAM. In just 3 weeks, we'll know the truth.
I've just gotten too old and cynical to be easily impressed anymore. The one over-arching fact is that I need a new phone. I'm convinced that whatever the real Note 7 looks like, it will meet my needs. But if not, I'll have to look elsewhere.
No worries, you did not sound negative in any way. It's interesting though that you consider these images fake as authors do not seem to question the authenticity of the render and base the analysis of the photo on that. Of course only time will tell
I think that Note 7 will suite your needs just fine. If the latest 6gb phone fiasco is any indication Android is not quite ready to venture beyond 4gb, and with regards to the rest of the specs we can be sure they'll be top-notch. If it does indeed have more memory it'll be interesting to see if Samsung can pull the optimizations off.

21 days! A mere 3 weeks b4 the official announcement of the Note 7.
Just today, Samsung sends out Note 7 invites:
Just for a test, I posted the above using my Note3, using Opera browser, without tapatalk. It took it!
Rumored today is augmented features to the S-Pen software:
I won't get my hopes up, but this evening a rumor surfaced that the Note 7 will not only be announced on August 2, but also be released for sale on the same day!
More reports surfacing that they Note 7 MIGHT release on the same day as it's announcement (Aug.2).
19 more days.
From this point on I've lined up a specific GIF for each day, even one for the the day after (Aug.3)
