I am currently considering these two phones for use on ATT GSM in North America. The phones are almost identical except the 6100 is a bit smaller and sexier. However the 6100 is a little more expensive. Does anyone have either of these phones and want to help me make my decision? I am leaning towards the 6100 because of the look. But i also like the 6610's look too. *undecided*
Hello Roger, I currenty have the Nokia 6100 got it last week, I am extremely pleased with this phone . It is small, light weight, the entire phone package has a excellent feel to it. The phone also has some really cool feature such as the wallet and the speaker phone (which incidentally works great ). The GPRS on this phone with Tmobile is pretty fast. The signal strength seems stable so far, and I have gotten about 3 and 45- 4Hrs talk time. The main reason I chooe this phone over the 6610 and 7210 was because of the compactability, and needless to say I am quite satisfied. Now to the bad .... the screen is not as sharp as my previous phone the Samsung S105, and ringtones that I download from the wap don't sound as good. But compared to the Samsung the Nokia has better features and is more userfriendly. Hope this helps. Flaperon
I got the 6610. Yea it's slightly bigger than the 6100, it's thicker by a little bit, but not significantly bigger. I like the speakerphone a lot. I find that more useful than hooking up the headset while im driving. Also, 6610 has AM/FM radio and 6100 doesn't (at least i don't think so). It might sound like an unimportant feature, but i find it useful a lot of times, esp when i go to the gym or running. And cheaper of course. And for the bad part. No bluetooth. Software for the PC is flaky. I still haven't got it to work properly to sync with my PC through IR connection, which i'm very disappointed about. The screen is ok. Color is sharp but not particularly outstanding. And not as many features as say 3650.
