6126: Contacts First Name First?

I imported contacts into my 6126 and they showed up alpha on their first names. I like that.

Now, however, when I add new contacts they show up alpha on their last names. Is there some way I can change these to show up alpha on first name like the ones I imported? And, is there a place to go to change the default so future contacts I add show up alpha on first name?
