Hello: Looking for a very basic, no frills, phone for my son thru Verizon. They offer the Nokia 6015i This seems to be the bottom end of their line, so am a bit concerned. Really want something very "reliable". He wants the straight bar design, Not a flip phone. Would be very appreciative for any opinions on the 6015i Happy with ? Any complaints, etc. Overall quality, etc. ? Thanks, Bob Nokia 6015i
Hello Robert, I would highly recommend the Nokia 6015i. Last week I got two for my father and brother and my friend in Alabama also owns one. As for the phone, the reception it gets is outstanding! My friend in Alabama can make crystal clear calls in several places where his old Moto could not even dial out. I used the phone myself to try out and the calls are very loud and clear on both ends and the speaker phone also works rather well. I couldn't even tell when someone was talking to me on the speaker phone on that thing and neither did they when I called. I was very impressed with the whole audio quality of it! Ringers range from midi to regular business style and can get quite loud. Vibrate mode is strong too. Overall construction is plastic but it seems sturdy and has a good feel on the hands. Just because it is a bottom line phone does not mean it's bad. Even the sales guy at the Verizon store said that and also he sells many of them with no returns. Most people say the Nokias have the best reception and I would not argue with that. Overall, it seems to meet everything you're looking for in a no frills phone.
