Yes, but Motorola was once the King of Cellulars and now it's Nokia. It is not just numbers but quality of their phones. Motorola has lost a lot of respect in the cellular world. I've got two old Nokias myself and I can tell you they are quality phones that can last forever. Motorola isn't making phones like that anymore.
I talked on a customers AT&T Nokia yesterday...sounded like 2 soup cans connected by a string. Plus I would prefer a company puts out less phones and they all rock than a company throws out a trillion phones a year. How much quality control do you think they get?
Nokia's quality control is just as good as most companies. Europeans don't like flip phones for some reason so Nokia's designs only slightly evolve each year. The same basic shape in all of their product line allows design flaws to be rooted out very early and rarely get reintroduced. Their margins are amazing as they have so many common parts. The menu system is identical to what it was 4 years ago. Something Moto should learn from. You can pick up any Nokia and figure it out in seconds if you have ever owned one before. Some claim that Nokia is just moving the keypad around in different directions and are not designing new phones anymore. But based on their numbers, somebody must find it interesting. Speaking of poor phone quality, imagine having this happen to your cell phone!
At least admit the the standard "Nokia" ringer is the most annoying sound in the world (with that D@mn Nextel "chirp" being a close second)
At least now we know who stole the plans. Maybe Yello can expand on this since he is head of R&D, but we were working on a "Prepaid Grenade Phone" with an optional 50 Cent ringer package that would be marketed to inner-city areas as welll as all the alphabet-soup agencies of government spookdom. Sounds like they didn't get the delayed fuse right (Munkey specifically left parts out of the plnas for security) The real question is: What was that woman thinking??? I mean, C'mon! CRICKET???
Good job Yello, I appreciate you protecting our corporate security by sabotaging the thieves who stole the plans for our prepaid fiddy-cent grenade with an antenna. You get a raise. Delta, I don't wonder what she was thinking when she signed up for Cricket so much as I wonder what she was thinking right after her phone exploded. That's gotta be a little disturbing.
I know I'm a bit late here, but, what in the F*! would make a phone explode, not being used, charged etc?
I have 2 Kyo's are my house...in the drawer...should I go ahead and put those out for the trash??? On another note...I won't be putting any Kyo next to my ear..or charging it, cause, that....yeah, that's scary.
LOL, that's an option *ponders*. I wonder if the USPS, FedEX, or UPS will still ship Kyo's to U.S residents now that the story came out? *humm*
From USPS We regret to inform you that we cannot deliver this package. It contains hazardous materials (a Kyocera Telephone) that could be explosive. Please find alternate forms of shipping. Thank you, USPS
Even if the phone doesn't explode, just receiving a Kyocera phone is enough of an insult on it's own. Go for it.
LOL @ Fathead. Jeez..what's this world coming to, with 50 cent ringtones preinstalled on phones, and Kyocera's being shipped all over....AHHH!
Corey, I hope you've made your peace with God for your sins because I don't think anyone on the WA forums will forgive you for bringing this thread back. You should have seen my face when I saw this thread was back on page one. Geez.
This thread is a classic. Anyone whom doesn't appreciate that doesn't belong with the WirelessAdvisor Forums.
