4900 Screensavers

    Anyone know where I can find some screensavers for my 4900 besides the sprint website? I can't seem to find anything...

    Be aware that the animated screen savers on MatrixM.com are NOT compatible with Sanyo phones. They are animated GIF files, and the Sanyo will only accept CMX animation files. You can use PNG and JPG files for non-animated wallpaper and caller images (and WBMP files -- but who would want to?). I've tried using multi-frame PNG but the phone will only display the first frame (no animation). Since it was a 60K file, that was a waste of precious memory, since a single frame was only about 5K.

    CMX is a closed source image format. ( unfortunately ) Don't expect animated screensavers from anywhere other than Sprint until someone manages to crack CMX.

    But is there a site where I can downlaod wallpaper to my phone and then not need to be connected to the net 24/7 to view it? In other words, I don't have internet access on my phone, is there any way I can still download wallpaper and stuff without ever using the net to view it?

    AutoBahn,

    Good news, you'll never be forced to be online to use wallpapers. They get stored on your 4900 and they're always there. The same thing applies to ringers, games, and applications.
