Guess they are working on getting more customers & hope to grab some Cingular customers, & with this type of plan if M2M was included, it would blow Cingular & Verizon away.

It's a pretty popular plan, that's why it was only offered for a few weeks the first time. It's like getting T-Mobile's $59.99 plan at a $14 discount!

I thought that was the $39.00 plan. Is that plan more expensive east of the Mississippi?
My $39.00 has unlimited nights and weekends, just got second line 3 months ago.
I notice the website currently only offers 600 minutes for $39.00.
    Things change, don't they?

Tmobile originaly offered 1000 min.w Free N&W for 39.99 in 7 markets in 2004. They brought it back for the holidays with it being 45.99.

It is the ultimate low cost plan if you just need lots of minutes.

i just called T-mobile to see if i can renew my contract to this promotion and upgrade my phone before my June 25 deadline and they said i have to wait 2 months to get the full upgrade discount. If i go to my dealer, will they tell me the same or offer me something else?

As NYCDru said, that plan was limited in availability. The $45.99 plan has been nationally available now and previously. The TM website currenty shows all of the options:

    http://www.t-mobile.com/plans/

    39.99 for 600 with unl n/w
    39.99 for 1000 anytime
    45.99 for 1000 anytime and unl n/w

Changing your plan does not affect your phone upgrade status as long as you are currently on a qualifiying plan for the best upgrades (39.99 or higher for single line, 69.99 or higher for family plan)

So, your contract ends on June 25? I believe you would be eligible for the full upgrade discount once you enter your 12th month of service (at the end of May in your case.)

You can change your plan today, and renew your contract for one year since this is a promotional plan (all plans with free nights/weekends are promotional). You can upgrade your phone in a month, and renew again for a year. You don't end up with a two-year contract though, your one year agreement will just start over when you upgrade your phone.

I believe the plan ends June 1st. That's what I read on this T-Mobile paper at work...

So, the full upgrade discount, how does that work? I am trying to get my friennd to hop on the 1000 mintue plan and get a new phone. His T610 is dying. However, Tmobile has no good SE phones in the lineup right now (he needs bluetooth to work with his PDA.) Any new phones w/bluetooth set to drop soon from Tmo?

From what I hear, the Motorola v330, that has bluetooth, is being released the 16th.

As Etorres said, the v330 comes out Monday. Regarding upgrades, they aren't tied to your plan status as long as you meet the requirements I posted a bit earlier in the thread. Your friend can check out his upgrade options by going to https://my.t-mobile.com - once he signs in, click on "Phones and Accessories" at the top, then on the right is the Handset Upgrade box.

Keep in mind it will still be another week or two before the v330 is available for customer upgrades. If I find out the date I'll post it here.
