Hi Everyone. I received a 40 dollar referral award from Sprint. I thought it was only suppose to be 25. I'm, of course, not complaining, but just curious why I got 40. I have a SERO plan and he got one also using the savings@sprint.com email address. Scott
Sprint was doing the $40 referrals at the end of the year. I got a flyer in the mail sometime in October/November saying they would give me $40 for every person I referred. I believe it was only good through the end of December, that is why I jumped on the referral Yankees gave out when his friend joined.
Too bad they weren't doing $40 last year when I actually maxed out my referrals for the year in June and couldn't do anymore until Jan. 1 this year.
I wonder if they closed that loophole by where you could add a line to your account and "refer" yourself? I got some $50 credits on my account that way in the past. To get an $80 credit would be like 8 months of free service on that extra line!
Back in the day they had two different methods of referrals. One of them was a $30 credit and the other one was a $50. But there was a loophole where you could actually do both of them.
That would be sweet. I loved how their was no contracts on additional lines a few years back. With as messed up as my rebate staus is I wish it could be done today.
I'm going to qualify for a rebate come May 1st. But there aren't any non-EV-DO phones that are better than my LX-350 right now so I probably won't get another phone for a while.
Oh I forgot to mention overpriced as well. With all other electronics (ie. computers, digital cameras, plasmas, DVD recorders, etc) dropping in price in the past couple of years, cell phones are the only thing that have actually increased in price. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense except carrier greed.
and all electronics get depreciated the second you buy them anyway.........why do we buy these things?!?!?!
By the way the referral is $25 now not $40. I just got a brand new flyer in the mail stating it's $25. Plus I just had someone give me a referral and the recorded message said it would be $25.
Well I am glad I got the $40 when I did. I finally got my rebate straightened out. I will be up in September, not September of '08. The only device I want right now is the Q. I have been wanting to add another line for myself. Just not sure if I want to do it now or wait. I can't wait for the PPC6800 to come out (April/May).
HI I want to enjoy referral too (, anyone interested email me at XXXXXX , i am old customer now around march 2007
You can only qualify for a referral within 14 days of activation. So it's too late for you now. Oh and by the way it's not a good idea to post your e-mail address on the internet.
I removed your email address from the posts. It's better for someone to send you a private message if they want to get in touch.
