Obviously I can't discuss all of the specifications of this new program, but I will let ya'll know, that soon very soon, Verizon Wireless will be instituting a 30 day test drive policy. Keep your eyes peeled to Phone Scoop for more details. I would give you more details but I work directly for Verizon Wireless and this is internal information, until the company officially releases the details.

I agree. Cingular and Sprint have both been offering 30 day trials for some time now. Although I do know that in California all of the wireless carriers offer a 30 day trial.

Well my understanding of it is that it's actually better than what all of the competitors are offering because it's a true test drive. If a customer ports out within 30 days, vzw will refund all of the money for calls, equipment, and etf's. I don't think any other company will refund the money for calls.

Test Drive: Verizon Wireless Puts Customers In The Driver's Seat
Customers Can Test Drive The Nation’s Most Reliable Wireless Network for 30 Days

03/22/2007: In an industry first, Verizon Wireless is putting customers in the driver’s seat to take the nation’s most reliable wireless network for a spin. On Monday, March 26, Verizon Wireless will introduce Test Drive, an initiative that gives customers the opportunity to be their own Test Man or Woman and experience the Verizon Wireless network virtually risk-free for 30 days. If at any point during the 30-day Test Drive customers are not satisfied with their experience and take their number to another wireless carrier, Verizon Wireless will refund their money for their calls, equipment, activation fee and taxes, as well as release them from their contract without an early termination fee when they return their phone within the Test Drive period

Is this something new? Because when I ported out from Verizon 3 months ago the only thing that I got a credit for was the ETF, and the activation fee. I was charged for the calls that I made under their proration system.

Thanks. I just heard this today as well from the Verizon store Rep. She confirmed for me that it would in fact start on the 26th. She also asked me how I knew about this new program already.
