I think Bobolito posted the Cingular 3G schedule somewhere, it was a while back, I don't remember the name of the thread now. -Jay

Can anyone give us a review of how well 3G works? I know it is only up in like 10-15 cites but I'd like to know how fast web browsing is on the phone and is it as good as what it is marketed to be. I have used EDGE for a while and can't really tell a lot of difference from GPRS.
The problem is even if you are in a 3G market (I am), if your phone or wireless access card isn't 3G you won't gain anything. You need a 3G device & 3G service togeather. Very few are equipped so far. Like I said, I'm in a 3G market, and I don't know anyone who's purchased a 3G device yet. My uncle is considering it, but he's also considering jumping ship and trying Verizon's 3G services. -Jay

Wow, I figured there were be a lot of early adopters out there for 3G. I'm in a rural area so it probably won't be here for quite sometime but I'm lusting for it already.
PC Mag review - underwhelmed. Calls coverage maps not exactly honest. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1916282,00.asp
Looks a bit disappointing at the moment due to the caps on speed and areas of coverage. Hopefully it will improve as new handsets come to market and more people sign up!
Its expensive and there really isn't a decent selection of 3G handsets yet. Right now Cingular is just pushing the 3G wireless cards for computers.
i believe that the blackberry is a 3g phone. now, if they keep on waiting such a long tome to implement full 3g, by the time we get it and see each other on the screen talking (video calling), europe and japan will be in 4g.
