my brother call me from central ky, i live in w.ky, we both are with att,
when i pickup the cell phone and started talking to him i could hear
me in an echo, this was the first time ever this has happen, i ask him
if he had his speaker phone on, he said he didn't have it on his phone,
i thought that the trouble may have been that i was hearing myself
though his speaker phone, since his phone doesn't have this feature
any suggestions of why this happened and has any one else had this
    acure.

    Network issue.

Is it happening with all calls or just that one call with him? If just with him, find out if he's having the problem with anyone else. If it is with every call you have, just give it a day or two then call CS and see.

Ask him to turn the volume on his phone down. Many times this is caused by having the speaker too loud, and you are getting feedback from the microphone on his phone.

So you're getting echo's on all call snow? And it isn't just cell to cell it's also to land-line phones? If you have anyone else that has AT&T try swapping SIM cards with them and see if persist. Might be your phone, might be network.

And you've done all the basic stuff such as power cycling? Definitely sounds like a network issue now, if both phones on the account are doing it.

I would suggest callling AT&T Customer Support from a Landline or Payphone, explaining the situation to a CSR and most likely they will open a Trouble Ticket or at least escalate the issue to someone who can try to resolve the problem.

SO get some credit for this billing period over the issue. At a minimum they'll credit you a half month's service.
