At the top of the page you can see the phone and it says $100 trade in rebate, what's up with that?

I don't see anything on the A530 when I follow this link - especially not a $100 rebate. So, what did it say?

    thanks,
    S

I think there's some confusion regarding the rebates. I am not a verizon wireless employee or anything, and this is all pure speculation, but I think the following is what is happening.

When A530 first came out, they had a trade in rebate deal for $100. But as you all know, the phone sales halted for quite some time after that. And now, when the phone came out for good after the software fix, they got rid of the $100 trade-in-rebate, and replaced it with $50 mail-in-rebate.

So this means, there is NO $100 Trade-in-rebate anymore. I called rebate center, and they said that $100 Trade-in-rebate does not exist for this phone. Only $50 mail-in-rebate exists.

Anyone have different info, please share. I saw some posts that you could get both $100 rebate AND the $50 rebate, but I'm not sure how you will be able to do that, when rebate center denies the existence of $100 rebate. But I would like to know how you do it, if it is possible. Total of $150 rebate would be awesome!

true, there was a $100 rebate if you purchased before may 11th (in my zip $229 1yr commit) i was able to do so (ordered may 8) via online (using 01702). however, when package came (on the 12th) it only had paperwork for the $50 off. called vzw to find out what's up - despite their insistence that there was only $50 off i told him i had a screen grab of the offer.

vzw sent me the $100 off AND the prepaid env to send a working ph in.

hope i don't have to fight the rebate center about this.

I was just in a Verizon store in Wappinger Falls, NY. They had the A530 for $149.

No, that's after the $50 rebate. The a530 is $200 with a one or two year contract.
