Go for alltel......they don't enforce the 50 rule.
I went into the store less than a month ago and did an upgrade on my account and got the Treo 650 for $299.......its listed on the site for $299 also.
look at the website.....pricing is pretty close if not correct and then call customer service about upgrading @ 800alltel1
