The circular arrow is the older QNC network where data transmits @ 14.4kbps. This has been a problem for a lot of refurb'd 4400's for some reason....

Yup... as Rich said, v.11 firmware will definitely fix your problem. It will lower your earpiece volume a little bit, but that is probably better...
