That thread wont help you. You have a GSM v3. Check the GSM sticky at the top of this forum.
Syncing with WMP is for Verizon ONLY.

Are you sure your phone has OBEX? I think the USCC does, but I am not 100% sure. If it does, then it is a problem on your computer side.
