This large TV tower is located on Elmwood Ave north of Hertel Ave. These are the studios (I belive so, at least) for WIVB and WLNO. Wikipedia claims that they broadcast from Colden, NY, but this sure as hell looks like a TV tower to me.

      Yes it is the studios for those two stations and the big red/white tower is the backup transmitter tower for WIVB's analog signal. The smaller white tower is the STL tower to WIVB's and WNLO's transmitter sites.

      When you say analog, do you mean that this tower is not broadcasting digital at all>?

      yes (it only has the backup antenna for the analog WIVB station, not the digital WIVB station)

      So come june, it will be illegal to run it? (except for at low power?
