Vodafone Owairaka

This is a GSM-900 only site. I beleive this site has been delibertatly passed over for 3G uprades due to its short height, reducing the possibly of having good 2100MHz coverage.

      This site definitely looks like some of the German rooftop sites you'll encounter here. Most of the time, that type of setup is used by T-Mobile and Vodafone Germany.

      Ah yeh rooftop sites are fairly common here too, especially in areas where building a tower is not appropirate. However Vodafone usually finds a site that is as tall as possible or has a good view of the target service area. This site has neither, it seems to have been put in as a after-thought. You can see it's very short, just about 4-5m AGL and the coverage from this site is fairly short. Better than no coverage at all I suppose!

      The replacement site (Wesley, which I have uploaded too) is much better, since it is located in a nearby industrial area and is much taller too.
