      Boy, you're right, I'm glad that I linked to another pic. Cologne has several decommissioned bases which were originally built in the 1930s and then taken over by the Belgians after WWII. Like the British, the Belgians were mainly stationed in Northrhine-Westphalia (Soest, Arnsberg, Detmold, Cologne etc) and in Niedersachsen. The base pictured above is 1/2 mile from my apartment.

      This is a side interest of mine since a large number of bases remain standing for a long time after they're returned to German control and then if the Bundeswehr has no use for such bases, they're either converted into living/industrial areas or torn down completely.

      Very good, I like postive feedback :D. I wish it were possible to add two images to one cell site post instead of having to double post the same info twice with a zoomed in pic.
