Not All Camo Is Needed

This is the oddest tower I have ever seen it. It was put up by American Tower on the site of Dominos Farms Business Park in Ann Arbor. It was designed way back in *1995* by Gunnar Birkets for Airtouch. Most likely sprint.

      It is 100% not Sprint. Sprint is on another site about 1/2 mile away. A dead giveaway is that this site has a permanent generator on site, which Sprint almost never has. This site is either AT&T or Verizon.

      :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Most certainly not Sprint.

      I should've added, it's Verizon.

      I so wanted to get a pic of this site a long time ago. Drove past it a few years ago and didn't have my camera. I will have to agree though that it is Verizon.

      Now I realize that antenna shapes do not always indicate what the provider is, but I do remember seeing pics of the shark fin antennae under the cover, which is what Verizon used some of the time.

      I've have now been by it many times, but also never have a camera when I get near it. I am planning to do that this month however. I have not been able to find any old pics of this tower, do you know where I can find some?

      I only first found out about this site while creeping around on American Tower a few years ago. I'm sure if you google Ann Arbor cell tower, you'll find some pics of it. There is also a disguised clock tower in Plymouth I believe.

      Ann Arbor also has a funky water tower cell site painted blue with clouds on it. I think there are about 4 or so carriers on it.

      There must be a story about it somewhere.
      The tower and the base together are sort of Domino's colors.

      The tower was designed by a guy named Gunnar Birkets in 1995. Other than that, I really don't have much info. I am trying to get some more though.
