Monopine? Monoblah.

A rather plan monopalm, but an interesting color for the 'trunk'.

...and, no, I don't know what color dates this palm tree produces. By the way, I suspect this is now a T-Mobile site as it was Cingular before.

I live just 2 miles away from this one! I remember when they had the hearing for it and also watched construction.

      When did this go up?

What is it with monopoles in CA lately? Some of those look terrible. Are they trying to save money?

@larry, you wouldn't have a tower on your house, would you :D?

I've never seen a plam tree with a mauve trunk. Mauve is soooo 80's. LOL (Please insert your own joke about branch coverage here.)

I believe it was around summer/fall 2001. Nextel also put up a well disguised rootop site on a building just a block away on Tustin at the same time. Did you notice that one?
    • Jonathan Kramer
Not sure...I did see/photgraph the site at 172 Tustin. It's a Cingular/??? co-lo site. Is that the one you're typing about?

    • larry
No this one is a Nextel only site a little further North of there (between Mayfair and Walnut on Tustin) near the McDonalds. I haven't photographed it yet but it would be a great one for you to get for your web site. It's a rooftop paraphet type of installation which blends in well.

Thanks, Larry. I'll check it out on Wednesday when I'm heading back up from a job at the USN/SD.

Oh man, how horrid, especially so close to those other ones.

Thanks for pointing this one out Larry :D and thanks Jon for posting it!

Sprint would never use such terrible design as this. Those GSM carriers get away with murder sometimes. ;)
