Microwave Tower in Piercton, IN

This is a weird Microwave Tower that I found outside of a rural town. Apparently it's probable that the tower was once a part of the MARS Project.

      I thought so too, I'm still not aware what's on it now exactly, but the uniqueness alone meant it had to be posted. Never seen one constructed like that. I have, however, seen a pitchfork style tower in Atlanta, looks like a stick with a W on top of it.

      It's probably an old Western Union Microwave tower.

      It is an old W/U Tower.
      The old passive reflector pipe mounts are still in place at the top.
      I've taken a few of them down in Nor. Cal & NV. Reflectors that is.
