Hempstead Water Tower

Here we have a water tower being prepped for the attachment of cell panels, with a current monopole in place, as well as a COW. The monopole has Sprint at the top, T-Mobile lower, and the COW is Nextel. There are cable runs leading to the base of the tower, I guess Nextel will go there fulltime.

Why do the sprint antennas look so strange?
    • Yankees368
The sprint antennas look normal, they are at the very top. The t-mobile panels, however, look funny below that.

This site probably has not be upgraded to UMTS yet.

It has come to my attention that this is a very weird site.

It turns out that the COW is actually T-Mobile, and the monopole has sprint and nextel. However, there is no nextel base equipment installed, and its all running on a COLT at the base.

So, we have a sprint normal site, nextel panels on the pole with a COLT running the show, and a t-mobile COW. Interesting.
