Two monopines located at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, CA. I heard about these 3 or 4 years ago but finally had the chance to see them in person.

      Too bad... All the elements of poor design; low branch count; lacking the bark cladding; no slip covers for the panels; etc.

      Yeah you would think that these especially would have undergone scutiny and required the best possible design in order to get approved.

      I've seen much worse, but how about the color? It looks like a fake blue spruce in the middle of green pines.
