Fort Wayne North

On Auburn north of Union Chapel, serving I-69 and some northern Fort burbs. Narrow monopole with closely-held T-Mobile panels halfway down, and a small tiara of Cingular panels up top.

Cingular's antennae at the top of the tower.

      T-Mobile's, slightly below.

Mystery yagi-uda about halfway up. I didn't stop to see what this was connected to.

The T-Mobile setup is very interesting with the two panels so close together per sector. Are the Cingular panels GSM 1900 only? do you know?

This is a weird one. I don't know if the flush-mounting is due to zoning or structural concerns.

Usually when a tower is underbuilt, the original carrier hogs space and loading. This is odd - especially if it's near Ft Wayne and/or the interestate.

The old ATTWS builds in this area are all like that. They'll have one dual-fed panel per sector, mounted directly against the tower. No separation at all, unless it's a self-supporting lattice tower, then they get whatever the tower's width is.

Now, the fact that T-mobile followed suit is even weirder. That makes me think that in this instance, it might've been local zoning, or perhaps ATT (who owns the tower) wanted to charge exorbitant rates for wind-load and it was in T-mo's best interest to add as little sail area as possible.
