Do you know what the omni antenna is?
    • pbw
Probably legacy AMPS for BAM. A lot of sites had a single omni antenna present.

      What is BAM?

BTW, at the very top there is a array of 4 antennas, 2 green and 2 grey/whiteish. Are they all Verizon CDMA or is it 2 CDMA and 2 AMPS?

      Regards,
      James

=] BAM = Bell Atlantic Mobile, a predessecor to Verizon Wireless on the east coast especially in parts of SC, VA/DC/MD and DE/PA. Old habits are hard to break. GTE Mobilnet, Bell Atlantic Mobile and AirTouch Cellular were the three largest components that compose Verizon Wireless. I grew up with GTE Mobilnet and my friends all remember BAM.

No. I suspect EV-DO. Almost all sites were configured in that manner. Those two block antenna on the end (probably Andrew Decibel or Antel) with the CSS Stripline Array antenns (the white ones) on the inside. I think there is a PCS license but I could be wrong. Just a guess. They are all BAM antenna.
